A thought came time as always: LATE BLOOMERS. Who says that late bloomers aren't any fun or that you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Really? Come on now. I grew up learning about crocheting and I detested it, so much so - that I cried every time my mom [who I felt forced that blasted hook on me] asked me to crochet with her. Arrgh. Dare I say, that now I pick up those blasted hooks and whip up some simple hats. Oh yes, I do. Okay, back to the point, I learned how to knit in 2005. Self taught, then I forgot how to cast on and the instructions looked foreign. That's when I met Sharon V. Oh yeah, there was a flyer at my local library about knitting. So I decided to bring my daughter so that Sharon V could teach her. In the process, I gained a refresher course of casting on, and the basic stitches. So I began later on in life and not as a teenager. it has been 7 years now and I'm in love with my projects.
So now, I begin an adventure into the realm of cosmetics. Oh yes an adventure indeed. Makeup to me from back in the days, was something I played with. As far as going out on a day to day basis, once in awhile, I utilized eyeliner. I mainly focused on my hair and making sure that my clothes were kept neat and taking well care of. Now here it is, the ending of 2012, thanks to my friend/co-worker Ty Ty, I have stepped in the realm of YouTube tutorials and cosmetology. [Laughter] Nitraa B, destinygodley, The Cambelles, iCRAiZ, Piinksparkles, and many other ladies ~~> they have grabbed my attention and given me the information needed to assist me with a clean finished look.
See, with one semester left in college, many functions to attend and the possibilities of up coming interviews, I need to step up my game.I don't want to wait to later. I've lived the past 19 years if not more, with a basic face. Plain Jane, simple and not worried. I felt that if a man is going to love me, then he needs to see the real me in all aspects. Then time has passed by, I've attracted the wrong Doe-Doe heads and have come to the conclusion that I'm doing something wrong. What you put out is what you get back. I've watched myself disappear unnecessarily and making excuses.
Did you ever watch the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Well I feel and have felt like Tulah [the main character] That is up until recently. Plus I'm learning so much more about products and how they work. A word of advice, research your products and when you go to Sephora, ask for a sample. If I'm not mistaken, MAC offers a sample too. I will confirm that soon because I want to try the N2 sheer coverage. WAIT, WAIT.... Hold the fort. Not only do I attend The Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival in October....I have the audacity to want to attend the upcoming IMATS and Makeup Show too. Oh Yeah, audacity is right. I've gotten so many compliments on my eyebrows and how defined they appear. Love It! I've gotten noticed and even if I didn't, I put to use what I learned and I'm happy. So with that being said, it is never too late to learn new things. Honestly,
who knows what is going to happen in the New Year, but for now, I'm having fun.
Talk to everyone another day. Happy Holidays!

You tell it, sister! Your eyebrows are glam-gorgeous and clearly you're getting good at doing your eyes.
